God's Enjoyment
I work for a national arts organization. I am married, have four children, and have been meeting with the local churches for 10 years. My wife has been meeting for 8 years. The first time I fellowshipped with these believers I felt the Lord's presence. I also sensed His approval and His enjoyment of the meeting together of these believers. My previous concept of worshipping God was based on my enjoyment of Him. However, through meeting with the local church I have come to realize that we have true enjoyment when God enjoys the believers enjoying Him. I thank God, and praise Him, that all mankind might enjoy God and be filled by God as He dispenses Himself into them through Christ.
The fact that we mere human beings who believe in Christ can give enjoyment to God through our faithfulness, our prayers, our singing of praises, is truly an act of God's love, mercy, and grace.
